Question Help diagnosing problem.

I have had this problem one other time and I do not
remember what I did to fix it. Here goes: I have this beep that sounds every 15 seconds while Xp-Pro is running. Also- during programs the keyboard will not respond for up to 10 seconds at a time or the effect will be the same as if I were holding down a key. After a few
seconds normal behavior(except for the beeping) will rusume and then the same pattern. If you have any ideas or any solutions to this problem-PLEASE take the time to tell them to me. You have no idea how greatly appreciated you will be if you have an idea that will put an end to this madness. Thanks for your time.

Hello, suggestions would be....Run an anti-virus program if nothing turns up there, then I'd check out everything that you downloaded from the internet. I just recently had to remove a cool program from my pc that I downloaded because even when I was away from my PC it was making noises. Even if I was logged off it would make sounds. It wasn't the screen saver either. It was a poker program. But I've also had some very annoying screen savers get downloaded to that make some wild sounds. If neither of those work, right click on your desktop and goto the properties screen and check all your settings there, Or you might try going to multimedia in the control pannel and check out your sound devices and setup. I hope this helps you, GT
