Default Lexmark X75

Just bought a new X75 all in one. After hooking it up, installing software, the printer doesn't work. It say "not communicating with printer" I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still the same thing.
I downloaded software from Lexmark and installed, and still the same thing.
Now the scanner and copier function, works great, but when it comes to printing, I get the same message.
With the software installed, I deleted the printer, and rebooted and let it find the printer itself. It said it needed files for the printer and to insert disk. I inserted the CD and it said could not find needed files on the "D" drive.
It listed several files it said it needed, but on already installed software and on the CD it could not find needed files.
Could Lexmark have made an item with a driver for it?
Grateful for any help.

you need to download a cleaning utility from lexmark .co.uk
check that your pc specs meet the requirements
the usb cable needs to go directly into the pc NOT THROUGH A HUB
the cable needs to be under 2m long
if you have any other devices installed through usb uninstall them and install the printer on its own

there has to be paper in the printer
if the lights are flashing you will get a communication

do the same as above

also do the following
go to
start -> run -> type regedit
select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
look for a file called ENUM
then look for a file called USB
it will give you a list under it anything starting with VID043D delete it

if you have any other printers installed then uninstall them

when you connect the cable you should see an add printer wizard
cancel this
if you dont see this your port or your cable is faulty

install printer as normal
