thks Afte three days I figured that out. Should have done this before that time was lost. But in the manual it states that I should be able to "transfer motion images and still images from your palmcorder tape to a PC via USB cable or DV interface cable (ilink) which of course is the fire wire. The update that is on this site is for USB connection according to all of my research, yet when I unzip the file, and open the driver install program it states that there is nothing there. When I go to device manager and open up Panasonic Digital Palmcorder properties and click on the driver file details it lists 2 driver files c:\\WINDOWS\System32|drivers|MkemUsb.sys, it lists the provider but it still lists the file version as 1.0 which is what was the original, and the copyrite is Matsushita-Kotobuki Electronics and the digital signer is not signed. SO it is not updating to the new 2.0 driver that I received off of this site. Also when I orignally downloaded it there was a warning but I ignored it. I do believe that the updated driver from here is either missing the key item or I have done something wrong because the downloaded file is suppose to be a 2.0 version. the other is C:\\Windoes \INF\MkemUsb.inf and under that one it states unknown for provider file version and copyright.
I know nothing about computers etc, so all the info is appreciated.
