You're hardware description can apply to literally dozens of sound chips. "AC97" is a term adopted by Microsoft in 1997 defining sound standards. You will need to include a more definitive description of your sound chip and motherboard/pc brand and model. eg: sound chip type and number, pc brand and model, desktop or laptop?
