Can't get sound on PCV-W2. Pc reports unknown audio device. Tried unknown driver finder which comes back unknown device. Sony downloads useless.

What is "PCV-W2"? eg: a pcmcia audio card, a notebook model, other? please specify.

Open Device Manager, find and double-click the PCMCIA device, click the Details tab, select "hardware id" and give me the hardware id string that begins with "PCMCIA\xxxxx", (1st./top line of text only).

What exactly do you mean by "Sony downloads useless"? And please loose the caps lock key when posting.
