It's strange indeed that Samsung has no driver posted for this device: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ow...WIS09ABGNX/XAA

Perhaps it doesn't require a driver when used in Windows XP.... or they want you to pay for it. I see quite a few of these for sale on Fleabay and none of them have a driver included nor listed nor mentioned. That fact points to perhaps it's a plug and play device... eg: no driver required.

Open Device Manager, find and double-click the device (it may be listed under "Unknown Devices" if no driver has been installed), click the Details tab, select "hardware id" and give me the hardware id string that begins with "USB\VID", (1st./top line of text only).

What happens when you plug it into a working usb port from the Desktop?
