require assistance to update my notebook's Nvidia GeForce GT 525M Graphics Driver from version 266.69 to 285.62. Driver downloaded from Nvidia mainsite is not working.

That's because notebook pc's require specific drivers from the notebook maker.... any attempts at installing generic drivers will result in a failed install.
