Which "VIA 10/100 fast ethernet adapter"? VIA chipsets have numbers on them... we need to know what that number is?
It would also be helpful to include the computer/motherboard brand and model that this device is installed/integrated into
and say if it's a desktop or laptop pc. Or a hardware id string (from Device Manager) via "properties".
