Re: DRIVER NEEDED: Trident Microsystems a276308a-70 (Windows XP Professional)
"a276308a-70" is not a Trident number nor is it any kind of video chipset number. It's an eprom number. eprom's don't require a driver.
Open Device Manager, find and double-click the video device you need a driver for, click the Details tab, select "hardware id" and give me the hardware id string that begins with "PCI\VEN", (1st./top line of text only).
It's also helpful to include the computer/motherboard brand and model and state whether it's a desktop or laptop pc.
Graphics/video adapter do not have "Other" interfaces, most are either integrated on the motherboard, PCI or AGP Add-On Cards, or PCI Mini-laptop cards. At this point, I have no clue as to whether your video adapter is an add-on device or integrated on the motherboard. That's a result of you not providing answers to the questions on our request form.
