Re: DRIVER NEEDED: Microsoft mpu -401 compatable midi device (Windows XP Home) [IDE]
What midi mpu -401 compatible device? This term could apply to literally dozens of sound chips.
If you're unable to properly identify your hardware, open Device Manager, find and double-click the sound device you need a driver for, click the Details tab, select "hardware id", and give me the hardware id string that begins with "PCI\VEN", (1st./top line of text only).
And/or provide your computer motherboard brand and model.
Also.... sound cards/sound chips do not have IDE interfaces. Most are either integrated on the motherboard or PCI/PCI-e add-on cards.
