The
VIA VT-8235 is a
combo Southbridge chip that contains 6 channel audio (MC'97 Audio), Ethernet, USB 2.0 and a PCI IDE controller.
I don't see any relationship at all to this being a Monitor or LCD Display chipset... or even a graphics/video chipset.
