"600yg2" is not a network adapter, it's a notebook computer model. Gateway never shipped this model with Windows 7 installed hence it's an unsupported OS.

And when asking for a network adapter driver, you need to describe the network device and say whether it's a LAN or WLAN driver you need. We put a Comment Box with our request form for a reason.... it's not just there as a web decoration. And when you select "Other" as the interface, you also need to tell use what interface it has such as "Integrated/on-board" or "PCI".
Actually, open Device Manager, double-click the device you need a driver for, click the Detail tab, select "hardware id" and give me the hardware id string that begins with "PCI\VEN", (1st. line of text only).
