Asus does not support this mb in Vista OS.

The audio chip in this board is ADI SoundMAX (but it's up to you to determine what ADIxxxx chipset number it is).
Open Device Manager, double-click the Sound device, click the Details tab, select "Hardware ids", and give me the hardware id string that begins with PCI\VEN (1st. line of text only). I will then look to see if a Vista driver exists. I don't understand why anyone would want Vista over Windows XP.....
There's a
Simple Search button located within the HOME button (located at the upper left of this page) that will allow you to find and download any drivers posted in our driver database. Or you can use the
Advanced Search Wizard to do the same task.
And there's also the new
beta DriverScan 2011 (trial version that will run 2 weeks before it expires){located within the
HOME button} that when downloaded and launched will give you links to all hardware devices on your motherboard. It's totally free to use for the trial period if you promise to input your opinion about how it works (or doesn't work) for you after you've had a chance to test and use it.
It's clean, doesn't install anything on your computer, and it's a simple EXE file that runs when double-clicked. It will offer suggestions for drivers for your machine and give you several choices to pick from.
