"VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller" is neither a sound chip model number nor a sound chipset number. It's a general term that could apply to literally dozens of sound chips. If you do indeed have a VIA sound chip, it's number will begin with VTxxxx. AC'97 is a term adopted by Microsoft in 1997 defining certain sound standards and can refer to a great number of sound devices.
Open Device Manager, double-click the sound device, click the Details tab and give me the hardware id string (the one that starts with PCI\VEN).
In the future, when asking for drivers, please provide a valid chipset number, a computer/motherboard brand and model, and state whether it's used in a desktop or laptop computer.
