"n1996" IS NOT a MSI motherboard model number. You would have known this had you taken a few minutes to find the other dozen or
so threads identical to yours. The
Search this Forum button link (found at the top-right of this forum) is the tool to find those other previous identical threads.
If you are unable to determine what MSI motherboard you have, then I suggest using this software:

EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware on-board a mb. as well as the actual motherboard. It will, in some cases, actually provide a download link for the driver.
