DRIVER NEEDED: ViewSonic VA1703wb (Windows XP Professional)

Hello,
can someone please try to get hold of a driver that works for this monitor.

The one I downloaded from ViewSonic's website, 'Standard_Monitor_Driver_Signed_XP.exe' doesn't detect this monitor and a dialogue box pops-up and says "Your monitor is not found. Please go to www.viewsonic.com and download the Standard_Monitor_Driver_UnSigned file."

I couldn't find it on their website and got it from yours instead. I tried it, but as that one was produced BEFORE this monitor was first put on the market, it too didn't work.

Does Windows not see it as a plug and play monitor?

thanks for your reply.

Yes it does detect it as a Plug and Play Monitor, which is what I'm using for now, but was hoping to be able to use the proper '.icm' ICC Profile too.

The nearest one is 'VA1703w_SERIES' , mine is 'wb'. Do you think I should use that one or leave it as Plug and Play for now and contact ViewSonic and explain the problem directly to them?

Yes, it won't do any harm to try it. If it's not the right driver, just un-install it in Device Manager and reboot. The pnp driver will be automatically re-installed.

I have a 2 month old Dell 19" flatscreen and it never came with a driver disk. User manual said to use the plug and play driver that's built-into the OS. Works just fine for me.
