Default Invalid Data on HD audio driver install

I am have a problem trying to figure out what is wrong with my sound my computer. The computer is a custom built with XP,sp2 as my OS
motherboard is a GA-M61sme-s2
Processor is AMD Atholon 64 3000+
Socket AM2 (940)
core speed 1808 MHz
bus speed 200.0 MHz
Chipset: NVIDIA
Ram DDR2 2048 Mbytes
Sound card is onboard RealTek HD audio
when i go into the sound control options it says no drivers installed for this device... yet i have installed one 100 times.
I have tried everything but the right thing to fix my computer.i went into cmos and disable the sound then re-installed the driver. After that i went back into cmos and eabled it and still nothing... when my computer searches after i install the driver i get this error
It does not matter what i do i still get te same results.. i have tried every version of realteks drivers for this thing

There was a problem installing this hardware:
An error occurred during the installation of the device
the data is invalid.
After going into device manager i see Realtek installed with a exclamation mark next to it..sometimes when i try something diff it says Unknown Device I know it cant be the driver its got to be a conflict with the OS, and or motherboard

idea Re: Invalid Data on HD audio driver install

You are not using the proper driver... all HD sound chips require the installation of the Microsoft UAA driver prior to installing the regular sound driver. This file contains both, just save the file to your desktop, then double-click it to start the installation. Follow on-screen prompts until finished.

Realtek Function driver Realtek Function driver for Realtek Azalia audio chip (Including Microsoft UAA Driver in English edition)

File date: 2010/06/08
Version: R2.48
File size: 67.56 MB
OS Supported: Windows XP
File name: motherboard_driver_audio_realtek_azalia.exe
For Gigabyte GA-M61SME-S2 (rev. 2.x) Motherboard (Sound Driver)

Note: Before installing this driver, be sure to uninstall all sound devices in Device Manager.
