Exclamation DRIVER NEEDED: Packard Bell Imedia 1307 (Windows XP Professional)

Im looking for some sound card drivers for my Packard Bell pc. The PC was bought in 2004 and I recently reformatted it but I cannot find the correct drivers on thier website. I downloaded the ones I thought would work and it detects the audio card and installs but I get no sound when a song plays.

Thanks,

Andy

If the sound system is High Definition, it requires installation of the Microsoft UAA driver prior to installing the actual sound driver. However, I don't think HD sound was around in 2004 so you probably just don't have the correct driver (which should be posted on the manufacturers website). Drivers will also be on the restore disk or the hidden partition on the hard drive. Please read the computer documentation for instructions on how to use the restore feature.

Or....if you can identify the sound chip, I'll see what I can find for it.
