Toshiba never shipped this laptop with Windows XP hence they offer no official support for it in that OS. Also, Toshiba used 2 different network devices in this laptop, ie: a LAN and a WLAN device. So your thread is unclear or too vague (as are most posted here). Don't expect an answer until you find out what the physical description of the network device is that you seek a driver for, eg: Atheros xxxxx Wireless Lan Driver or unknown brand and xxxx chipset number for the wired network device (also call LAN). We do not have a clue what network devices Toshiba used in their notebooks.... that info would have to come from your documentation or from Device Manager when the original OS is installed or from the laptop makers website. It's not my responsibility to look up or determine that info, that job belongs to the OP (Original Poster).
Laptops (unlike desktops) cannot use generic drivers, they must use specific drivers from the laptop maker or special "hacked for laptops" drivers. These sites might help you in the hacked for laptops drivers department:
Regardless of whether a Windows XP driver exists or not, it won't be an easy task to find one that will work. Have you visited the Toshiba talk forums to see if anyone else has tried this? If they have, then perhaps they have also given solutions. It's also possible it's been discussed in our forums.... have you looked to see by using the Search this Forum
link found at the top-right of this forum? Or have you used any of the 3 links that driverguide.com automatically inserts at the bottom of your thread? It's best to let us know what you've tried when asking for the unusual.... saves us both a lot of time. That way I (or anyone else attempting to help you) will not have to duplicate what you've already tried.
