epson colour 580 problem

screen dialogue says to contact local service centre and refuses to print anything. Can anyone help with a programme/patch to solve the problem please? Epson support unable/unwilling to assist more than to say to get printer serviced, which costs more than printer did. Thanks for any help or assistance you can give.

You might try reinstalling the drivers for the printer.

Hi Don

Forgot to mention that I've tried thid twice already. I think its a case of just buying another printer( lets face it, the 580 was a very cheap printer anyway)
