Atheros doesn't make network cards, they are a chipset maker. Things that should accompany a request:
1: Did this device come pre-installed in your computer at the time of purchase (OEM) or did you purchase it (retail) then add it to your computer?
2: Is it a PCI card (as stated) or is it a chip that's actually integrated on your motherboard or even perhaps a PCMCIA or Mini-Card for a notebook?
3: Who made the pci card? FCC ID #?
4: Used in a Desktop or Laptop computer?
5: Computer/Motherboard brand and model?
6: Did it come from the factory with Windows XP installed?
7: BIOS ID string?
When you omit all the important details, it's very difficult to help you. With only the vague info you posted, all I can suggest is to visit the Atheros website and see if they offer a generic driver for the chipset number.
Or you can use the
Search this Forum button/link found at the top-right of this forum to see if anyone else has asked for and received an answer for any identical thread. I know there's at least one thread here with an answer posted (and probably more than the one):

Or you can use our
Advanced Driver Search Wizard to see if anyone has uploaded this driver to our driver database.
We provide many tools that make this a
Help-Yourself website. Whether or not you find a driver is dependent on whether or not you use those tools. This should be done PRIOR to "Blind Posting".
A typical perfect request would read something like this:
Driver needed for a Toshiba model xxxx notebook that contains a brand xxxx/model xxxx ethernet/wireless network mini-card that contains an Atheros Ar5bmb chipset on-board. It had Windows Vista installed when I bought it and now I'm trying to install Windows XP on it and having trouble locating this driver.
