A Hitachi hds722525vlsa80 is a SATA hard drive, not a hard disk controller. SATA hard drives do not require a driver..... SATA hard disk controllers do. If you want help, you must identify your SATA hard disk controller and the motherboard/computer it comes installed in.
Windows XP could care less what hard drive is connected to your system (as long as it has a SATA interface). It could be a Western Digital or Seagate drive... that wouldn't change what SATA hard disk controller driver is required.
SATA controller drivers are included with Windows Vista OS but when Windows XP was created, SATA drives did not even exist so Microsoft could not include drivers for a device that had not yet been introduced on the market.
And the name of your hard drive does not make a good choice for a member name.
