Apparently, HP never shipped this laptop model with Windows XP installed. I suppose that's the reason why they do not have a network driver posted. It's supported in Windows Vista 32/64 but not in Windows XP.

HP shipped this laptop with 3 different ethernet adapters, 2 wireless and 1 wired adapter.
1: Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter
2: Intel PRO/Wireless LAN adapter
3: Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC - Wired LAN
You should always include details about the actual hardware device you are wanting drivers for. Without that info, we can only guess.
Laptops (unlike Desktops) must use specific drivers from the manufacturer OR "hacked for laptops" drivers. Generic drivers will usually fail installation.

You might also want to visit the
HP Consumer support forums and do a search there. If anyone else has been successful at getting their machine to work in Windows XP, it will surely be posted there.
