There is no such sound chip... your hardware id program cannot tell what the sound chip is. Sound chips bear names like Realtek, Cmedia, ADI SoundMAX, VIA, and IDT/Sigmatel. Don't you find it strange that Everest also said these other hardware devices in your motherboard are 82801FB? I mean how many Intel 82801FB hardware devices can one motherboard have?

What pc brand and model did this Intel Grantsdale i915P motherboard come installed in?

Note: I can tell you did no reading before posting. If you had, you would have found hundreds of other threads identical to yours with the same response. And if you had read those other threads, you most likely would not have posted with that exact same hardware description. I don't believe you even read the Everest Summary Report. Did you not think that the people, who built your machine, would have support for it? You wouldn't go to chevrolet.com for help with a Ford would you?

In summary there's 2 ways to get help.

1: Identify the pc brand and model along with the motherboard brand and model. And say if it's a retail or OEM motherboard. Retail motherboards are supported by the motherboard manufacturer while OEM motherboards are supported by the pc vendor/manufacturer.

2: Visit the pc vendor/manufacturers website (to check for driver availability).
