There is no such sound chip as Intel 82801... AD1981B is a sound chip number but lots of pc vendors/manufacturers used this chipset for their boards. We need to know what HP pc model it came installed in before we can help.

Note: to my knowledge, 085Ch is neither a pc model or a motherboard model.

then I googled "hp 085ch" and the second thing found was this

I guess that the name of the computer is sometimes important.

yes, it's always important to mention the PC brand and model since almost all manufacturers post drivers according to the pc brand and model.
