Exclamation DRIVER NEEDED: Altec Lansing VS4121 (Windows Vista)

Hi.
Im looking for the driver for my VS4121 Altec Lansing speakers.
I've recently been attacked by a couple of viruses and my entire computer had to be erased in order to restart it.
During that process, all my data was lost, including the driver.
It frustrates me that I can't listen to anything on my computer.
I would really appreciate it if you could find the driver for my speakers.
Thank you.

Speakers don't require drivers unless they connect via usb and I don't believe this speaker system connects via usb, it connects like most common standard speaker systems do, to the sound output jack on the pc. You most likely need drivers for the sound device in your pc/motherboard. Open Device Manager and check to see if the sound device is working properly.

Did your system not come with a driver disk or a recovery partition on the hard drive that will allow you to re-install the sound/audio device driver?
If you have integrated sound, you need to tell us what pc brand and model and/or what motherboard brand and model this unknown sound device came installed in. You need to determine if the sound is integrated or add-on. Either way, you must identify the hardware before we can help.

If you are unable to identify the hardware, then I suggest using this software program:

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml

Alternate Everest download link: (offers 2 sites to dl program from)
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-16369.html

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is BLUE this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.

If you have additional questions or need further help, please post a SUMMARY report from Everest.

And btw, I suggest you choose a shorter member name.
