DRIVER NEEDED: LiteOn Technology LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-8125 (Windows XP Professional) [IDE]

I had this cd/dvdrw put in my computor almost 2 yrs ago. It has never picked up a dvd. I can copy cds or make cds but not DVD'S. I think I need a driver. They never sent any software with it.HELP PLEASE

It has never picked up a dvd --- Does this mean it won't read a dvd?

In order to read dvd disks, you must have dvd decoder software installed (like WinDVD or PowerDVD). If your drive came with a cd disk, it should contain the needed software. You can get free dvd decoding software but it doesn't work as well as the 2 I mentioned above.
