THE PROBLEM IS DRIVER. AFTER FORMAT PC TO XP, I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD FROM COMPAQ BUT ITS ONLY FOR VISTA. PLEASE HELP ME TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

Compaq doesn't make a Presario 3500.... they make a 3500 series but you will need to post your exact model before we can progress any further.

It might also help if you stated what video chipset your machine has, ie: like nVidia, ATI, etc.

If this machine was shipped from Compaq with only Vista installed on it, you will most likely not find drivers from Compaq.
