Win 2K USB Driver for Compaq IJ600 Printer

I would appreciate anyone who can point me to the appropriate Win 2K driver that enables output from the Compaq IJ600 printer through a USB cable. I am using a Centronics to USB cable to interface with a new Dell laptop that only supports USB. I downloaded SP15837.exe from this site, but still get a message that bi-directional communication cannot be established. When I try and print, I may get about half a page out before the system hangs. I suspect a problem with the driver I'm using.
