You choose to omit some very important info like what pc system this mb came installed in. You also failed to provide the proper name for this mb.... it's IPIBL-LB (Benicia). This motherboard came installed in some of HP's machines llike the Presario SR5325ES Desktop PC. I'm sure it was used in other HP models as well. It also came with Windows VISTA installed so support in XP will be difficult (if not impossible) to find from HP.

ie: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...d uct=3658015

When you determine your pc system model, visit the link below and type the model number into the box and click the >> button:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...en&lc=en&cc=us

Or just click the Support and Drivers button from the 1st link and do the same thing.

If you care to identify the on-board hardware, we might be able to help. If you're unable to do so, then I suggest the following program:

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml

Alternate Everest download link: (offers 2 sites to dl program from)
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-16369.html

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is blue this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.

If you have additional questions or need further help, please post a SUMMARY report from Everest.

Sorry but I can't help until I know what HP Pavilion model this came in.
Asus doesn't provide any support for their OEM motherboards.

Please don't use quote to reply unless there are more than you and I in the thread.

It came with HP a6552f desktop computer windows vista 64 bit recently I purchased. But also HP use it for many models up till now. My issue is I have a software that does not work on the new bios but it will on the old
So I was wonder if there is old bios not necessary for this model but the same type of motherboard.

The BIOS for Vista is dated 07-2008, Ver. 5.25, file size: 1.58 MB. for the HP SR5325ES Desktop PC. It's exactly the same for the Pavilion a6552f Desktop PC.

I'd be really cautious about trying to load a bios from another series unless the motherboards are identical hardware wise. Doing so can render the board useless if the wrong bios is installed. I'd also be cautious about trying it until you know someone else that has done it successfully. That's the number 1 problem with HP pc's that were shipped with Vista installed and folks not liking the awful Vista OS who really prefer Windows XP over the newer OS.

You can check the HP forums to see if that problem has been encountered/solved:

Code:
http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/james/home.do
or a more detailed search can be found here:
Code:
http://www11.itrc.hp.com/service/james/home.do?admit=109447626+1219201614482+28353475

If not, then try posting a request of your own in the forum and perhaps one of the HP experts can help you.

And you might want to keep watch on this thread to see if anyone answers:

Code:
http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1219201165887+28353475&threadId=1247372

And you might want to scroll thru this lengthy multi-page forum of links:

Code:
http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?hpweb_printable=true&admit=109447627+1219201229609+28353475&categoryId=279&pageNum=5

The moderators on the HP forum should be better equipped to handle your request than we can since they only deal with HP/Compaq pc's.

The rest is up to you, I would suggest integrating them into a XP Installation CD by using the utility found at www.nliteos.com

Here is a snipit from the site...

""""" Have you ever wanted to remove Windows components like Media Player, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, Messenger...
How about not even to install them with Windows ?

With nLite you will be able to have Windows installation which on install does not include, or even contain on media, the unwanted components.
