DRIVER NEEDED: Hitachi HTS 542516K9SA00 (Windows XP Professional)

Hi. I'm looking for a driver for HD controller Hitachi HTS 542516K9SA00. I've bought a notebook Acer Aspire 5520G, and want to install Windows XP. But I can't find the driver for this SATA controller on Acer's site. Maybe someone knows how to find it or how to solve this problem.

Acer has no mention of HTS 542516K9SA00 or SATA controllers on it's website:

A better description of the hardware device is needed. Also, was this notebook shipped from the factory with Windows XP installed? If not, then finding drivers may turn out to be very difficult.

This notebook was shiped with Windows Vista Basic, although there are the main drivers for Windows XP on the american site of Acer. I know that it is possible to install Windows XP on this model of Acer notebooks, so I presume there's some other driver fitting this laptop. Maybe You have any ideas. I'll be grateful for any kind of help.

I do not know what SATA controller Acer installed in your notebook...that's why I said a better description is needed. Microsoft did not include SATA support with Windows XP whereas they did with Vista. you will need to determine what SATA controller is present in the latptop in order to be able to find SATA drivers for Windows XP. Intel is a fairly popular chipset for SATA but other companies make SATA controller chipsets as well.
