I bought a Canon digital camera and got a SD card reader with it which has no manufacturer's name or model on it. It only has the words: USB 2.0 SD/MMC/RS-MMC on it.
Can anyone help me to find and download a driver for this gizmo, please ??!!
Thank you,
Ayran in Australia

There are literally hundreds of devices made by different manufacturers that match your device. Each requiring a unique driver. unless you can identify the maker and/or the chipset inside on the circuit board, we cannot help.
Hello Jerry - the only other thing I can read, through the plastic casing of the little unit, is the inscription:
DSM 214 G24
There is nothing else written on it. Thanks! Ayran
If your experience is like mine, all you need do is insert an SD card in the SD MMC/RS-MMC adapter and the card will be recognized as removable storage. An empty adapter is not recognized.
I solved this problem by making sure the small disk in the holder was LOCKED.
Had same with XP, Vista and tried it on Windows 7 - once locked it read from it no bother.
