DRIVER NEEDED: AVERATEC 7115-EH1 (Windows XP Professional)

For some stupid reason, windows XP pro SP2 dont install the Lan drivers, Wifi works as does everything else. but the lan wont install. there are no drivers on the averatec website, or here.

Averatec 7115-Eh1 is not a Network Adapter, it's a notebook. The manufacturers website doesn't list any LAN for this machine, only a WLAN.

Edit: there is a LAN adapter listed for the 7100 series. It's: http://support.averatec.com/customer...7100%20LAN.zip (but this may be a Vista driver)

i tried both of those drivers and neither one worked, ive gone through countless web pages trying to find out what actual chip the lan card is being realtek audio i assume its that but i cant find anything, i broke down nad got the CD's shipped to me from the manufacturer, ill see if that works.

I was in the same boat with my 7100 series (AV7115-EH1) I even tore it apart far enough so I could find the Ethernet chip. It says 1310i on it. And from what I can see there isn't any binary (windows) drivers for it out there. From what I could and couldn't find, stupid Averashit doesn't have the lan drivers for XP on their site either. They do have the Agere 64-bit drivers though...

I searched for "131x drivers" and found the file 7100_XP_ETHERNET_6_0_2900_2180.exe but they all linked to a Averatec download page that didn't exist. I then used a download link for another driver file on Averatec and pasted the filename in and here's what I got and it works!

When you run that file it says " Please go to the Control Panel to install and configure system components. " So I then used WinRAR to extract any files within that file. There is a "WinXP2k 32-bit 1.2.8.exe" in there. RUN THAT ONE! Don't extract it too, it will just sit there.

It will work!!!!
