Exclamation DRIVER NEEDED: Colorado (HP) trakker 250 (Windows XP Home) [Parallel Port]

i have an old colorado trakker 250, trying to get backed up data from drives on my current windows xp home machine. whats the best way to do this?

I'm not sure what your wanting to do.... are you asking how to backup data on your hard drive to Colorado Trakker 250 tape? If that's the question, then you do it like any other data... write it to the tape drive using backup software (like Seagate Backup). I'm sure there are other programs that work equally well. No drivers are required... all backup support is provide by the backup software.

If you're asking how to restore data from the tape to hard drive, it's done with the same software program that backs it up to tape. But you have to choose restore rather than backup.

I think he just wants his Colorado Trakker Jumbo 250 Tape Drive to work with Windows XP. I have the same problem. The only driver I can find is for Win98, and it doesn't seem to work with XP. So, if there is a driver for Windows XP for this tape device, there would be a lot of people very thankful!
