I doubt we could help even if you had described the audio device since notebooks cannot use generic drivers. Your best bet is to use the recovery disks or recovery process that all notebooks come with. Unless your notebook was never shipped with Windows XP... in that case you will most likely have a very difficult time finding drivers that will work.
