Need help please, reformatted my computer today, after that no sound.

reformatting a pc leaves nothing on the hard drive. It won't boot as well as no sound. You need to install the os first.

Read the zillions of identical posts in these forums and you'll see there is no such sound chipset as "Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97 Audio Controller". That info from Device Manager or from hardware identification software is erroneous. There are only a few sounchip makers in the world. Amongst them are:

Realtek
Cmedia
Sigmatel
ADI

Chances are about 99.9% that your sound chipset will be one of those.

Is your pc Dell (to match your monitor) as well? If it is then you can get drivers from Dell. If my guess is wrong then state what pc system brand and model you have (or what retail motherboard). But my guess is your Morgan Hill motherboard is OEM.\

Ic. I tried to download the driver from Realtek. The funny thing is, when it was running halfway, the system shutdown and the computer restart. So i tried downloading it at Safemode. Turns out it was able to run smoothly, however as i reboot the computer, the system keeps restarting when Windows is loading. Is there something wrong with the sound card?

Not likely... you totally ignored my questions in post #2. Please state what motherboard or pc brand and model this device is integrated in.
