This must be a confusing device as there are other requests saying it's a modem and sm bus controller. Now we can add a 3rd. description to it, a modem. And for those uneducated folks, AC'97 has nothing to do with a modem, it's a term adopted by Microsoft in 1997 defining sound standards. AC'97 has been replaced by High Definition audio.
