I believe you're a bit confused. An Altec Lansing ACS31 is an amplified speaker system featuring a subwoofer for extended low-frequency response. Two audio inputs allow computer audio signals to be mixed with other sources of sound. A control circuit automatically boosts bass at low volume to maintain realistic musical sound.
The speakers are magnetically shielded to prevent color distortion on video displays. The speakers also can be used as an amplified speaker system for CD and cassette players.
This device has no relationship to MODEMS and does not require any driver.
