If you have multiple choices, choose the driver that matches your hardware. If you don't know what sound chip you have, remove the pc cover and use a magnifying glass and a light to read the number on the small sound chip.
Note if ALCxxxx, that's a Realtek chip.
An easier method is for you to say what pc brand and model this device come installed in? Or in the case of a retail motherboard, it's brand, version, and model number. And last but not least is to provide the bios id string that appears briefly in the lower left corner of the monitor screen. You can press the PAUSE key to freeze the screen long enough to write the string down on paper or copy and paste to notepad.
