DRIVER NEEDED: Mad Dog MD-18XTFAE (Windows 2000 Workstation) [USB]

When trying to install this device I found out that the only reason it is not working is because of the driver.The computer is not on the internet. It is a CD-R/RW /DVD+-R/RW. It will not read either a DVD or a CD.

You don't install an optical drive.... Windows does it for you automatically. If the drive is not detected by the system, then you most likely have one of the following problems:

1: IDE ribbon cable not connected properly or a bad ribbon cable or connector. Or power cable not being plugged in or loose.
2: Wrong IDE controller driver installed.
3: IDE port is not enabled in pc bios setup.
4. Bad or incorrect firmware flash.
5: Defective drive.
