Here is the direct link to the latest NDIS driver for the Intel Pro 1000 Network Connection. I used it when my Ghost boot disk utility had the old e1000.dos driver and it was not compatible with the Intel Pro 1000 PM adapter in a laptop that I needed to ghost.
Okay for some reason driverguide will not allow that link to work as I intended it too. In the Intel Website, search for "Intel® PRO/1000" and click search. The very first return on the search will be ["Network Connectivity — Drivers and software for Intel® Gigabit and PRO/1000 Wired Ethernet Adapters "] Click on that. A list of each type of driver for the Intel Pro 1000 will appear and scroll down until you get to about the 18th item and that is your DOS driver for the Intel Pro 1000. Prodos.exe will contain the update e1000.dos that you need. In my case I replaced the old e1000.dos on the boot floppy and now it detects my adapter. Good Luck.
