DRIVER NEEDED: Panasonic (Matsushita Matshita) dvd sr8585 (Windows XP Professional) [IDE]

I have been trying to get a driver for this dvd but am being bounced all over the web. Panasonic web sites are less than useless. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a driver.

Optical drives do not require a driver.... so please tell us what the problem is and how we can help. Also knowledge can be gained by reading the threads in this forum. Any problem you have has already been addressed numerous times.
