Heres what reply I got from Lexmark:
[Charlie] Please accept my heartfelt apologies for the problems you are experiencing with your Lexmark product. To the best of my knowledge, there are currently no plans to develop Vista drivers to support this model.
[Charlie] I regret to inform you that the hardware/technology of this printer would not support the 32/64 bit processes of the Vista OS. That is why there will be no driver developed for this machine.
