Mr Senior Member,
It's very upsetting for a guy that deals with so much pc hardware and pc systems to not even know how to describe his/her hardware. FYi, Advent 7105 is not a
MONITOR, it's a
LAPTOP. Why do you continue to create threads like this that require much more time to research and find out a true description of the item in question? I just don't have that much time so I must start to ignore your posts if you cannot properly id your hardware.
So you will know, this laptop has a ATI Radeon Xpress 200M IGP (128mb) video chipset on-board. You will not find drivers on the manufacturers website because Advent went out of business a few years back. The screen specs are: 15.4" widescreen TFT (native resolution 1280x800) which most likely is plug and play in Windows os's.
If you have trouble getting the official Video & Graphics Adapter drivers working it may be worth trying the ATI Omega drivers from:
http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php. These are independently produced (ie: hacked) drivers which have been tweaked to improve performance and are amongst the few drivers for laptops that will work other than the one's created by the laptop maker.
This laptop was built by ECS and is almost identical to model ECS 331.

However, I do not know if the ECS drivers will work on the Advent 7105 laptop. I don't have one to test.
