Driver needed for GSA-H31L

Recently bought an HP CD/DVD-+RW Combo drive, which (on the inside) is an LG GSA-H31L. XP installs the standard MS driver(2001), but that does not support LightScribe. Can any1 help me with a driver or suggestion on how to?

LightScribe software must be obtained from the hardware vendor, ie: HP in your case. It isn't a free software. LightScribe company holds the copyright to this technology and they don't provide this software for free. They only license hardware vendors to distribute it with certain LightScribe'd drives.

I also have a GSA-H31L, Windows recognises it and assigns it a drive letter, but when any CD is installed it does not autorun, NOR can I read the data from any CD.

I believe it's a data-transfer issue. The dirver assigned by windows is a generic old 2001 version.

I also have this same issue with a Plextor PX-755SA

What Windows os are you running?

Do you have Autorun enabled?

Is the drive listed in Device Manager? If so what is the listing and is it flagged as having a problem?
