Default No audio please help

I have an advent T12 and i have recently reformatted and installed xp pro.
Everything seems ok except the sound, the pc says new hardware foundci device.
as far as i can see i think i have an onboard audio device and cant work out how to get the correct driver.
stuff i have found out:
i have a geforce 6610 xl
motherboard? : ms7091 ver 10
and i think i need cmi9880 codec.
but i really am not sur .
PLEASE HELP.

You cannot usually use generic drivers on a laptop. Laptop makers use special coding in laptops that restrict it from using any driver except theirs. You might check here (however I looked and did not find specific sound drivers):
