Clevo laptop pcmcia problem

I got a clevo 6200 laptop, its 233mmx/win98. This laptop got no usb, and does not support 32 bit cardbus cards. BUT it should support the older 16 bit pcmcia cards, so i got a 3com wireless lan card. But theres no chance i can make it install properly. I get a code 7(reinstall drivers) all the time, and if i try to manually configure resources(irq and memory range) error messages change to a code 10(drivers missing or connection problem) Do anyone have a clue where to go from here? Ive tried support both at 3com and microsoft, but i cant find anything. I could also mention that all system devices seem to work ok, except from pci-bus, which reports: irq routing disabled, cannot locate irq routing table. Im not sure if this has anything to do with the problem cause everything else works fine, and pci-bus also says "this device is working properly" So if anyone got an idea, please post!!!
