Hi, maybe you fix the problem already but this happened to me, I bought the joystick in 2006, never used it too much, until now that I bought few months ago a MacBook Pro, well, I wanted to play some old games with MAME and in the first time the game didn't recognise the joystick, trying to look System Pref., but I couldn't see anything, well, I re-started the game and voila!, the joystick was full operative.
