Panasonic KX-6500 Laser Printer and GDI mode in Winxp

i can't use my printer (KX-P6500) in GDI mode it gives me an error "no power" or "cable problem"
when i disabled the Use panasonic print manager i could print
how to fix that ( to print with the manager enabled)
can any body help
