Ok, I think I found it!
I was having this problem, and it was driving me nuts, I downloaded the right file after I identified my motherboard with the AIDA32 system information tool. I searched for the drivers, and they turned out to be SoundMAX. I installed, and got the same error. This is what I did to get it to work.
Opened the Multimedia Audio Device in Device Manager.
Install from a specific location, THEN make sure to say to say "Don't search I will choose the driver to install"
Choose Sound Device, then say have disk.
Locate the folder your drivers are in and install the drivers that way.
